The Opportunity

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant / Office Manager / Receptionist to keep our office running smoothly while supporting attorneys and clients. This role combines client service, administrative coordination, and light office management in a friendly, balanced environment. You will have a thoughtful onboarding process and the opportunity to learn from experienced attorneys and staff who value clear communication and teamwork.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a warm, professional first point of contact: answer phones, route calls, and welcome clients
- Manage email, mail, and scheduling
- Maintain case files (physical and digital) and workflows in Clio
- Format, proofread, and finalize correspondence, forms, and basic legal documents
- Support attorneys and the paralegal with document preparation and filing
- Track deadlines, hearings, and appointments; coordinate calendars
- Assist with billing and collections in Clio, including time entry and invoice generation
- Handle office management responsibilities such as supplies, vendor coordination, and light bookkeeping support
- Keep the office organized and efficient, with an eye for improving systems
What You Will Bring (Required)
- 1–2 years of experience in a law office, reception, or professional administrative setting or equivalent experience
- Strong command of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and time management with the ability to prioritize and follow through
- Comfort learning legal terminology and handling confidential information
- Professional phone etiquette and a calm, compassionate approach with clients
- Reliability, initiative, and a sense of humor
What We Hope You Bring or are Motivated to Learn
- Experience in family law or familiarity with California court forms and procedures
- Experience with Clio or other case management software
- Basic billing or bookkeeping experience
