Deputy Digital Fundraising Director

McMorrow for Michigan is seeking a Deputy Digital Fundraising Director for the 2026 election cycle.

We’re a scrappy campaign that treats the people on our list like exactly what they are: real people. They’re here because they believe in Mallory and what she’s fighting for. We don’t do churn-and-burn, “internet slop,” or the guilt-trip-beg cycle that’s wrecked trust in Democratic digital. Our program is built around storytelling, energy, humor, and community – not spam.

What does that look like? Taking a conversation between Mallory and a Michigan small business owner, and using it to tell a real story about economic pressure and resilience, not a talking point. Taking a video about NFL RedZone that got wall to wall coverage, and turning it into a cultural moment that moves resources.

We’re looking for someone strategic, organized, and wildly creative. Someone who can translate real-world moments into digital content that inspires action. You’ll help lead day-to-day digital fundraising across email, SMS, social amplification, and cross-team rapid response in one of the most closely watched Senate races in the country.

If you care deeply about how Democrats talk to people – and you want to build the model for doing it better – you’ll thrive here. This position reports to the Fundraising Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Finance Director to execute and scale our online fundraising strategy, including projections, reporting, and performance recommendations
  • Own and set day-to-day workflows with our digital fundraising firm: content calendars, rapid-response email and SMS, segmentation, testing, and overall list health
  • Collaborate with our digital firm to produce email that reflects a real voice: building, QA, testing, scheduling, and editing to ensure our list is respected, not mined
  • Work closely with Comms, Political, and Digital to translate news cycles, travel moments, endorsements, and cultural touchpoints into timely, compelling fundraising content
  • Coordinate approvals and creative sign-offs across staff, consultants, surrogates, and partner organizations
  • Build and grow our partner/surrogate fundraising program – from Mallory’s dog Detroit to Michigan brewery owners to U.S. Senator endorsements – drafting copy, managing outreach, and driving execution

Experience:

  • 2 cycles of experience working on or running digital fundraising programs
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to switch tone and match Mallory’s voice
  • Experience with ActBlue, NGP/ActionKit (or similar CRMs), and SMS platforms
  • A data-informed mindset and the ability to move quickly while maintaining accuracy and clarity
  • Comfortable working in a role that asks a lot from the very best in us: high volume, big moments, long arcs of work that pay off when it matters

Compensation:

  • Commensurate with experience
  • Competitive benefits package including medical, dental and vision
  • Full-time position. This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle

To Apply:

To apply please send your resume and 3–5 examples of relevant work to info@mallorymcmorrow.com with the subject line: Deputy Digital Fundraising Director – [YOUR NAME]

Work examples can be anything that shows how you think and create: a social fundraising initiative you led, an edit you’re proud of, a paid ad you wrote, a standout fundraising email, or something entirely different — get creative. We want to see your brain at work, not just your output.

  • The campaign believes strongly in creating a welcoming work environment for everyone. The Campaign is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage applications from all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions) gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, national origin, marital status, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other status protected under applicable law.
