Position Title: Home Repair Program Coordinator

Reports to: Executive Director

Hours: 40 hours/week

Overview

McMinnville Area Habitat For Humanity (MacHabitat) is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. MacHabitat’s mission is to bring people together to build homes, community, and hope. We envision a community where everyone has a safe, decent, affordable place to live. Our administrative offices are located in McMinnville, OR - but our service area also includes Amity, Carlton, Grand Ronde, Lafayette, Sheridan, Willamia, and Yamhill.

This position will develop a sustainable repair program, building upon the current structure and early successes of the Ramps/Rail/Repair Program. The McMinnville Area Habitat for Humanity (MacHabitat) Repair Program was started in spring of 2024 and has continued to grow with consistent small repairs to help low-income homeowners. The goal of this position is to grow the program, regulate the processes and procedures, ensure continued funding of the program, create an operational plan, and complete required training with Habitat for Humanity International.

The Home Repair Program Coordinator is responsible for setting and attaining the program’s annual goals, collaborating with other staff to manage projects and relationships with homeowners, volunteers, community partners, and grantors. The manager is also responsible for meeting all grant requirements from multiple entities and continuously exploring opportunities to grow and innovate the program.

Time Commitment

Full time (40 hours/week). Monday - Friday onsite in McMinnville is preferred, but negotiable. This is a two-year grant funded position. .

Project management experience is a plus, along with Microsoft Office and Sharepoint knowledge. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills are a must.

Benefits

The pay for this position is $23/hour. Benefits include 100% medical/ dental/vision insurance coverage for the employee. Additional perks include 10 paid holidays, 48 hours (6 days) of vacation for the first year of employment, and 80 hours of sick/personal leave.

Travel

The person hired for this position will attend the Habitat for Humanity Affiliate Conference in Atlanta, Georgia Oct. 4-9, 2026 (dates include travel time) for specific job training and to fulfill grant requirements.

Duties

• Complete training modules with Habitat International to support implementation and growth of MacHabitat’s Repair Program.
• Participate in quarterly training calls with Habitat International to reinforce learning and peer exchange.
• Participate in monthly coaching calls with Habitat International to support program development.
• Complete a quarterly operational plan to guide development of the repair program.
• Research funding sources for the Repair program and work with the Development staff to secure consistent funding streams for continuation of the program.
• Track Repair Program grant-funded projects and work with the Development staff to ensure that all grant requirements are met.
• Research models of Repair Programs that are larger scale and loan-based for the homeowner, to complement our small, grant-based repairs.
• Match qualified participants with appropriate funding sources and stay within Repair Program budgets.
• Refine and continuously improve the program participant experience from initial inquiry through completion of the program.
• Deliver clear, timely, and dignified communications to program participants throughout the duration of their repair project to ensure compassion and respect.
• Assess the requested needs with Repair Program applicants, stating our priorities and funding limitations.
• Once applicants are approved, visit the home with the Repair Project Manager to determine if project falls in the scope of MacHabitat’s Repair Program eligible projects and budget.
• Work with homeowners to develop appropriate scopes of work, project timelines, and repayment structure, if needed.
• Confirm accepted scope of work falls within our repair parameters and has bids to back up the cost of repair.
• Communicate with repair team during all projects, track progress, and collect and process all close-out documentation requirements.
• Work closely with all program staff and Executive Director to strategically align service offerings with community needs and resource opportunities.
• Participate in regular meetings with Repair team to check in on goals and program delivery obstacles, as well as team successes and professional development.
• All team members are responsible for contributing to overall organizational health through positive collaboration, personal integrity, and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
• Confirm volunteers have committed to the repair before project date arrives.
• Act as the central communication link between the Repair Program and the ED.
• Support the volunteer Repair Committee. Provide reminders, calendar invites, create agenda, take notes, and distribute minutes/action items.
• Other duties as assigned.
