Overview
McMillian Construction Services is a growing construction company serving North Carolina and South Carolina. We are currently seeking reliable and motivated construction professionals for residential and commercial projects.
This position is paid per project, with opportunities for consistent work. High-performing and dependable individuals may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time hourly role as the company continues to expand.
Schedule is flexible and based on active project load.
Projects are located in:
- Charlotte, NC*
- Raleigh, NC*
- Greenville, SC*
- Columbia, SC*
- Myrtle Beach, SC*
Travel compensation may be provided depending on project location.
Duties
- Perform general construction tasks such as framing, drywall, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing and exterior work based on project needs
- Complete work according to project scope, schedule, and quality standards
- Assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, siding, and deck work when applicable
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
- Work independently or as part of a team
- Communicate effectively with crew members and report progress or issues promptly
- Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and effectively as trained
Experience/Requirements
- Previous experience in construction or related trades is preferred
- Must have your own tools and transportation (Will be compensated for travel)
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards on-site
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction tools and equipment
Pay & Schedule:
- Paid per project, with rates based on project scope
