We’re looking for an experienced Residential Service Electrician to become a key member of our team.
Position Overview
This position is primarily focused on residential service calls, troubleshooting, and small electrical projects. The right candidate will also assist with residential remodels and occasional new construction rough-in and trim-out work.
We’re looking for someone who can work independently with minimal supervision, solve problems efficiently, and take ownership of each job from diagnosis through completion.
Commercial electrical experience is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and diagnose residential electrical issues.
- Complete residential service calls and repairs.
- Install new circuits, lighting, receptacles, switches, ceiling fans, and electrical equipment.
- Perform panel replacements, service upgrades, and other residential electrical work.
- Assist with residential remodels and occasional new construction rough-in and trim-out.
- Meet with customers professionally and clearly communicate findings and recommended solutions.
- Create accurate material lists for assigned jobs.
- Pick up materials and efficiently complete projects with minimal supervision.
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code and local building codes.
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and professional appearance.
- Document completed work with notes and photos.
Qualifications
Required
- 5 years of residential electrical experience preferred, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to independently manage service calls.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to accurately diagnose electrical issues rather than simply replace parts.
- Knowledge of current National Electrical Code.
- Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred
- Commercial electrical experience.
- Generator installation experience.
- Panel replacements and service upgrades.
- Remodel and new construction experience.
