McMichael Taylor Gray, LLC is seeking a Title Curative Specialist. The Title Curative Specialist will be responsible for Identifying and resolving title defects by opening a title claim, obtaining underwriter approval, and/or obtaining corrective documentation, i.e. Affidavits and Deeds, Etc.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of Closing or Foreclosure title resolution experience
- Ability to recognize and understand the difference between the Non-Judicial, Judicial, and Quasi-Judicial Foreclosure processed and how each would impact title curative measures
- Managing client system workloads
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with clients, borrowers, internal staff, and outside agencies
- Comfortable with independently reviewing and determining the best avenue for curative
- Review internal and external case management systems for additional documents which may aid in curative measures
- Utilize online resources, courthouse computer systems, and courthouse records to verify that the issue has not been previously resolved
- Adept at researching failed/merged Lending Institutions, and obtaining lien releases
- Familiar with and able to use Deed Plotting software
- Able to request missing documents from title provider
- Communicate with clients to obtain missing documentation or to clarify information (i.e. Title Policies, Loan Applications, Origination Appraisals, etc.)
- Comfortable with calling Tax Collectors and Assessors, 911 addressing Offices, Register of Deeds Offices, Probate Courts
- Able to draft affidavits and other curative documents for attorney approval
- Accustomed to Skip Tracing
- Ability to recognize and resolve Mobile Home issues inclusive of proper de-titling of same, preferred
- Willingness to assist other team members in explanation of title issues
- Possess the ability to work with multiple attorneys
- Familiar with two or more states in our footprint
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team
- Accustomed to being solely responsible for handling a high volume workload efficiently
- Able to handle other projects or items as assigned
- Ability to prioritize numerous tasks in a high-volume environment
- Excellent customer service skills including professional conduct in communicating with Attorneys, Co-Workers, and Clients
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Technologically proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel, along with other electronic databases.
- Proficiency with operating in a digital document environment
- Knowledge of client management systems including Black Knight and Tempo a plus.
