Description
McMichael Taylor Gray, LLC is seeking a Bankruptcy Paralegal for the Peachtree Corners, GA office. The Bankruptcy Paralegal will be responsible for providing support to the Bankruptcy Department and Attorneys by processing bankruptcy case files including: drafting of legal documents such as proof of claims, motions for relief from stay, objections, and claim maintenance filings.
Requirements
Knowledge/Skills:
- Process files in case management and client systems
- Draft filing for proof of claim, reaffirmation agreements and motions of relief for attorney review
- Request files from clients and other departments as needed
- PACER and e-filing experience is required
- Ability to prioritize numerous tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Professionally communicate with clients and co-workers
- Work both independently and as part of a team
- Provide exceptional internal and external customer service
- Any other clerical tasks as needed
- Excellent professional communication skills as position requires written and verbal interaction with all interoffice personnel, managers and attorneys as well as the clients and outside vendors.
Experience:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in lender bankruptcy processing or other processing related work in the legal field.
- Experience and understanding of the various client systems such as a360 Case Aware, Black Knight, and Tempo is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office products including Outlook and Teams
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines
- Experience with SCRA and other electronic databases a plus
