McMahon’s Best-One Tire & Auto Care is a family owned company that has been in business in Fort Wayne since 1969. Here at McMahon's Best-One, we are committed to our customers, the services we provide, our local community and to our fantastic employees. Currently, we are looking for a Retread Production Manager to join our team.
Our Retread Manager will directly supervise and coordinate all retread technicians; perform management functions such as shipping, receiving, daily production and personnel work; execute company plans, strategies, and priorities.
Duties Include but are not limited to the following:
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving for each day, knowledge of how customers are identified (national or local accounts); ability to follow the route day scheduling process
- Production Reporting: progression of daily production goals with management and communicate with teammates to keep up with rapid changes, knowledge of production reports (how and where the information is being generated from); ability to make decisions when out on the floor or plant
- Basic Maintenance: support and maintain the process for reporting equipment problems, knowledge of daily maintenance and the ability to diagnose equipment problems
- Shop Organization: promotes and maintains a clean and organized shop, spends time routinely with management reviewing the cleanliness of the shop and how to improve it
- Financial Training: knowledge of consumable parts and how they affect our cost daily, understands how to maximize consumable parts in each area, knowledge of what factory supplies are and how In-Shop Failures and Adjustments affect our bottom line
Requirements
Retread Production Manager Requirements:
- Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
- Data, writing, and telephone skills required
- The ability to handle customer complaints
- Must have adequate time management skills
- Team-Player: Works well as a member of a group.
- Must have good personal communication skills and the ability to delegate
- Must pass a pre-employment background check/drug screen
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Lifting: Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high.
- Occasional squatting, bending, and twisting.
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Environment: Work in an environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season.
- Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception).
- Sense of sound (Ringing telephones, alarms, horns, and motorized equipment).
- PPE: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves, footwear).
