Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including floor cleaning, vacuuming, and sanitation procedures.
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service excellence.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are performed efficiently using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment; place orders as needed to maintain operational readiness.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to uphold cleanliness standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement hotel emergency procedures related to sanitation or safety incidents promptly and effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, safety compliance, and staff performance to support continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial experience within hospitality settings.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques, industrial cleaning methods, and janitorial practices.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely, including chemical handling procedures and understanding SDS documentation.
- Skilled in operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and other industrial tools.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude toward guests and team members.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures, safety protocols, and hospitality industry standards.
