Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting. (Preferred)
- Basic understanding of classroom management and instructional support techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a teacher's assistant or in a similar educational support role.
- Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning tools.
- Certification in CPR and first aid. (Must obtain within the first 30 days of employment)
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in preparing lesson plans, instructional materials, and classroom activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to children who require additional help with coursework or behavioral guidance.
- Help maintain classroom order and discipline to create a safe and productive learning environment.
- Monitor and record student attendance, participation, and progress, reporting observations to the lead teacher.
- Support the setup and cleanup of classroom resources and technology before and after lessons.
- Facilitate communication between children, teachers, and parents as needed to support the child's development.
