We're looking for an experienced Carpenter / Multi-Trade Craftsman who takes pride in producing high-quality work and has strong experience in finish carpentry, drywall repair, and residential maintenance and restoration.
Much of our work involves repairing water-damaged properties, including occupied condominiums and multifamily communities. Projects may include flood-cut repairs, drywall patching and texture matching, ceiling repairs, finish carpentry, flooring, and other interior repairs.

Employment Eligibility (E-Verify)
McLeod Construction participates in the federal E-Verify program. After accepting a conditional offer of employment, all new hires will complete the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification process. Employment eligibility will then be confirmed through the federal E-Verify program, as required by law.
What You'll Do
- Perform residential drywall patching, finishing, texturing, and paint preparation.
- Match existing wall and ceiling textures and finishes.
- Complete flood-cut repairs, ceiling repairs, and other drywall restoration work.
- Install and repair baseboards, trim, door and window casings, crown molding, cabinets, and other finish carpentry.
- Install and repair LVP, cove base, and other flooring materials.
- Perform interior painting and finish work as needed.
- Complete a variety of residential repair and restoration tasks based on project needs.
- Perform material takeoffs and determine materials needed to complete assigned work.
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas, particularly when working in occupied homes.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, project managers, and other team members.
- Use smartphones and tablets for digital work orders, timekeeping, photo documentation, and other job-related applications.
- Work independently while maintaining McLeod Construction's expectations for quality, safety, and customer service.
What You Bring
- 3 years of drywall installation and repair experience.
- Strong skills in drywall patching, finishing, texturing, and paint preparation.
- Ability to blend and match existing drywall textures and finishes.
- Experience with finish carpentry, including baseboards, trim, doors, casings, and millwork.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in occupied residential environments.
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, digital work orders, timekeeping apps, and photo documentation.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to jobsites throughout the Puget Sound region. Employees may be required to visit more than one jobsite in a day.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds, work above shoulder height, bend and kneel frequently, and work from ladders and scaffolding.
Preferred Experience
Experience performing multiple residential trades, including:
- Finish carpentry experience.
- Cabinet installation and repair.
- LVP and sheet vinyl flooring installation.
- Carpet repair.
- Tile installation and repair.
- Laminate countertop installation.
- Shower surround installation.
- Interior painting.
- Occupied condominium and multifamily residential work.
- Water damage or insurance restoration repairs.
- OSHA and general construction safety practices.
Tools & Equipment
Candidates must have the professional tools necessary to perform the work, including:
- Air compressor and texture gun.
- Chop/miter saw and table saw.
- Drill and impact driver.
- Drywall finishing tools.
- Power sander.
- Levels.
- Ladders.
- Multi-tool.
- Standard carpentry and hand tools.
Additional Requirements
- A conditional offer of employment is contingent upon successfully completing a background check and pre-employment drug screening, where applicable.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Employment eligibility will be verified through the federal E-Verify program after hire.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
