GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Provides support to the Project Director and professional staff by maintaining Student Support Services Project (SSSP) records in compliance with federal, state, and college regulations. Ensures accurate data management, timely reporting, and consistent service delivery while supporting a welcoming and organized environment for students.This position receives direction from the Project Director of TRIO Student Support Services and exercises no supervision.
NOTE: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
SELECTION CRITERIA:

Knowledge of: 1. TRIO Student Support Services programs and federal grant compliance requirements; 2. Federal, state, and college rules, laws, and regulations governing student records and data reporting; 3. Principles and practices of records management and confidential file maintenance; 4. Student information systems and database management (e.g., Ellucian); 5. Modern office procedures, administrative practices, and customer service principles; 6. English usage, spelling, grammar, and professional correspondence standards; Skills in 7. Maintaining accurate electronic student records and performing detailed data entry; 8. Using Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications effectively; 9. Navigating multiple computer systems, databases, and software platforms; 10. Office management, scheduling, and front-desk operations in a student services setting; 11. Providing courteous, student-centered customer service to diverse populations; 12. Organization, multitasking, and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment; 13. Verbal and written communication, including professional emails and documentation; Ability to: 14. Perform administrative, records, and application-processing duties accurately and efficiently; 15. Apply and follow federal grant guidelines, policies, and procedures consistently; 16. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and campus partners; 17. Organize work, meet deadlines, and perform under time constraints; 18. Learn new technologies, adapt to changing requirements, and follow oral and written instructions. 19. Provide caring, high-quality service by creating welcoming experiences, communicating clearly and proactively, addressing needs with professionalism and empathy, and ensuring individuals are thoughtfully connected to appropriate resources.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Sedentary-Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Insignificant effort other than normal movement. Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university
Experience: At least two years of work experience in an office setting or higher education, including work study, graduate work, and internships
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Office Administration or related field of study
