Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mid-level Mechanical Design Engineer, based in Hanford, CA. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of machinery, creating and reviewing product designs, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. The candidate will conduct feasibility studies, utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and efficient product solutions. Quality assurance and attention to detail will be a significant focus of this role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Machine Design
• Experience with Product Design and development
• Proficiency in using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for drafting and modeling
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and adherence to quality standards
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2 to 6 years of mechanical design engineering experience
• Solid working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
• Demonstrated ability to read, create, and redline hydraulic and electrical schematic drawings
• Experience designing custom mining machines which are electrically and hydraulically operated is a strong advantage
• Familiarity with MSHA and OSHA requirements for designing mining machineries

Scope of Job

• Create mechanical designs of mining equipment’s from concept through production release
• Create mechanical designs of custom truck bodies such as water, fuel and lube trucks from concept through production release
• Develop and manage SolidWorks models, assemblies, and detailed drawings to internal standards
• Create and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics with minimal oversight
• Partner with sales and production teams to troubleshoot field and manufacturing issues
• Review and provide technical guidance and design feedback
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and documentation standards

What We're Looking For

A self-driven and highly motivated mid level mechanical design engineer with strong technical depth, clear communication skills, and a track record of delivering quality designs in a team environment. Experience with industrial or mining equipment is a plus.
