What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant/Associate Professor of Psychiatry position at McLean Hospital?
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. or professional doctorate, appropriate postdoctoral experience, and a record of extramural funding and publications indicative of demonstrated expertise.
Candidates must either meet the academic criteria for appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. The position offers affiliation with a large clinical and basic neuroscience research program and research infrastructure support. Salary and recruitment package in accordance with Hospital policies, and a Harvard Medical School appointment at the academic rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (full or part-time) will be contingent on meeting the requirements for an HMS appointment and candidate qualifications, including a Massachusetts medical license and being board-certified/board-eligible.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop and/or maintain a competitive, independent, and largely externally funded research program and engage in supervision, training, and educational activities that support their program while enriching the MGB and HMS communities.
