Responsibilities
- Handle fresh fish and seafood products with care, ensuring proper storage and presentation
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as trimming, slicing, filleting, and portioning fish using knife skills and meat cutting techniques
- Maintain cleanliness by following food safety sanitizing procedures and ensuring the workspace meets health standards
- Package seafood items accurately, labeling products clearly for retail sale
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Conduct visual inspections to monitor quality control and manage perishable goods to minimize waste
Requirements
- Previous experience in food production, food preparation, or retail store environments preferred
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
- Strong basic math skills for weighing, measuring, and inventory management
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50lbs, and perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment
