Vice President, ERP Systems  

Summary: 

As the Vice President of ERP systems, you will be an effective and motivated change agent who has direct experience managing an enterprise IT finance or business systems function.  Reporting to the SVP IT Strategy and Operations, this role will be based in our Norcross, GA office, and will be directly responsible for the company’s technology strategy, project road map and daily support operations for our suite of financial, human resource and customer relationship management (CRM) systems. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Resource, organize, and facilitate a team of 4-6 business analysts and ERP support technicians who are responsible for our Global SAP system in an environment with 137 offices and 1800 employees worldwide  

  • Evaluate and develop staff, recruit and hire a diverse and effective workforce.  Maintain individual and team growth ensuring performance 

  • Be a coach, mentor, leader and motivator for the team 

  • Facilitate joint leadership (with PMO) of the following processes:  work capture, user story creation, backlog grooming, backlog prioritization, and sprint management. 

  • Act as an escalation point for high severity issues that arise from other line of business functions 

  • Actively participate in setting team objectives & ensure that they are met and communicated across the IT Organization 

  • Effectively communicate and report operational progress to Finance, Business and IT leadership on a regular basis including product release management, work prioritization, sprint management (burndown), and defect management.  

  • Assist IT executive management in the development and implementation of IT strategic plans, initiatives, direction, and annual budgets. Develop product roadmap for our Global SAP systems including major release upgrades, licensing investments and merger & acquisitions integrations 

  • Work closely with Finance, HR and CRM leadership to identify, plan and execute improvements to our IT Financial systems to improve financial reporting, the efficiency of our Billing and Collections Team (BCT) and our overall ability as a company to manage outstanding WIP.  

  • Work closely with SAP to ensure cloud-hosted systems are monitored appropriately, are backed up on a frequent basis, our that our systems are operating efficiently. 

  • Proactively identify enhancement opportunities to platforms through root cause of support tickets to improve uptime and reduce support costs. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • BA / BS in Information Systems, Business or a related field from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.  

  • Highly Preferred Insurance industry experience or relevant consumer driven industry  

  • Proven track-record of successfully building and scaling a team to support Financial systems  

  • Demonstrated technical, configuration or development experience with SAP (Cloud preferred)  

  • Direct experience partnering with executive-level management and business leadership in successfully launching new functionality or releases to financial systems  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical verbiage to a non-technical audience via telephone, email and in person.  

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including resolving conflict and negotiating effectively and tactfully.  


Demonstrated people management expertise including resource allocation and planning, productivity analysis, and employee development on a global scale.  
 

 

Education & Experience:  

  • Experience communicating and interacting with C-Level, other leadership colleagues and customers in a confident and professional manner. 

  • Strategic vision for our financial systems capabilities, and ability to develop and maintain enterprise strategy and roadmaps relative to the goals of the company  

  • Ability to innovate and act as a "change leader" within an organization that is committed to maturing their processes, procedures and deliverables as it relates to management of our Financial systems  

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively to establish and build relationships with a large group of global and disparately-located IT and Business stakeholders  

  • Strong verbal/ written communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence direction and gain acceptance of proposed strategies.  


Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of budgeting tools, time and expense modules, global EFT, multi-currency entity management, bank lockbox file automation, and general accounting principles.
