PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply Chain Associate responsibilities include acting as resource to execute the supply chain strategy for sourcing ingredients and
packaging at the highest quality for the lowest cost.
· Generating direct and indirect purchase orders for all departments.
· Maintain required reports and identify process improvement opportunities.
· In partnership with the Supply Chain Leadership evaluate the feasibility of using AI to gain competitive advantage.
· Work closely with raw material vendors to highlight cost-savings opportunities.
· Work closely with freight providers to highlight opportunities for service improvement and cost savings.
· Analyze spending by raw material category and prepare summaries and dashboards to support informed purchasing and
sourcing decisions by Supply Chain leadership.
· Track pricing trends, supplier performance, and usage patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities and sourcing risks.
· Compile and analyze inventory data to identify trends that improve material flow, reduce excess inventory, and lower
storage and handling costs.
· Evaluate days-on-hand (DOH) for raw materials and finished goods to ensure inventory levels align with demand, lead
times, and stock targets.
· Support optimization of stock levels for critical materials in collaboration with Supply Chain and Operations leadership.
SECONDARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Planning & Purchasing backup support during periods of absence - Job Duties
· Develop and maintain daily production schedules aligned with customer demand, plant capacity, labor, and material
availability.
· Create and release production orders within the ERP/MRP system and ensure accurate, timely system data.
· Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Sales, and Culinary teams to support
production and customer service objectives.
· Monitor forecasts, schedules, and inventory levels to support labor planning and production plan performance.
· Proactively identify and escalate material shortages, capacity constraints, or customer order risks to appropriate
leadership.
· Analyze forecast versus actual demand trends and adjust production and inventory plans as needed.
· Communicate demand and supply variances to Sales and Operations to support on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery
performance.
· Ensure purchased product and service quality, including management of non-conforming materials and obsolete inventory
disposition.
· Support supplier performance through audits, collaboration with the Culinary team, and sourcing of approved suppliers.
· Potential for performing physical inventory verification in freezer, cooler, dry, and production areas and work effectively in
multi-temperature environments.
