Director of Social Services – Make a Difference Every Day
McKnight Place Extended Care, an award-winning senior living community in St. Louis, is looking for a Director of Social Services to support residents and families while leading a comprehensive psychosocial care program. This role is key in advocating for resident needs, guiding families, and fostering a positive, supportive environment.
What You’ll Do:
Lead resident service plan meetings and maintain psychosocial care documentation
Support residents and families with resources and resident rights
Educate staff and families on mental health, dementia, and related topics
Complete assessments (MMSE, GDS, FAST) for new residents
Refer residents to community agencies when needed
Serve as weekend Manager on Duty on rotation

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work Required (Master’s preferred).
1 year in senior living, skilled nursing, or hospital setting required.
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
