Location: McKissick Academy of Science and Technology
Times: Shifts between the hours of 11am-6pm.
Job Duties:
- Supervising Activities: Camp workers are responsible for overseeing daily activities such as arts and crafts, sports, games, and nature walks, ensuring that all students are engaged and safe while participating.
- Providing Emotional Support: They offer emotional support to students, helping them navigate social interactions, resolve conflicts, and manage feelings in a positive way.
- Assisting with Learning Experiences: Facilitating educational activities such as nature studies, science experiments, or literacy games that are fun yet help reinforce skills learned in school.
- Ensuring Safety: Camp workers ensure the physical safety of the children by monitoring them closely, adhering to safety protocols, and addressing any emergency situations promptly.
- Encouraging Teamwork and Social Skills: Camp workers help students develop social skills by encouraging cooperation, sharing, and teamwork during group games and activities.
