Title: Construction Site Safety Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on Construction Site-Safety Manager.
Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation of the company Safety Program.
- Work with the Safety Director, Project Manager, and Site Superintendent to develop, implement and monitor site specific safety plans.
- Work with the Safety Director to develop Job Hazard Analysis. Identify and anticipate all potential job hazards and determine preventive actions.
- Perform jobsite and equipment inspections for compliance with company, jobsite, and applicable local, state and federal regulations. Recommend and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct accident and property damage investigations and complete incident reporting for review.
- Compile, maintain and submit all necessary records, logs and reports pertaining to safety as required by the company, the client, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Serve as company representative and participate in all OSHA and third-party safety inspections; resolve any concerns or violations.
- Conduct toolbox safety talks for company personnel. Conduct safety meetings, as necessary, to address site concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or Industrial Hygiene or minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in the commercial construction safety field as a Safety Manager.
- OSHA 30 Construction certified within the last 5 years. (preferred)
- CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician). (preferred)
- First Aid, CPR, & AED certification. (preferred)
- Knowledge of regulations and standards for OSHA.
- Excellent communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize, and manage time.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Exercise discretion with confidential matters.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
- Ambulate construction sites, climb stairs/ladders, remain on your feet for most of the day; ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Valid Driver’s License with willingness/ability to travel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $130,000.00 per year
