The Opportunity with McKinstry
We are adding a Senior Construction Project Manager to our New Construction Mechanical team in Seattle, WA. We are looking for someone who likes to develop and manage project plans, schedules, and scopes of work in a fast-paced atmosphere. You will be joining an established and diverse team where you will be able to make an immediate impact. You are someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and are passionate about solving problems and achieving goals. Additionally, some responsibilities you will have include:
- Transitioning project management and engineering activities through the design to construction phase.
- Support and provide input to development strategies, goals, and objectives specific to project execution at each project phase
- Developing and managing project plans, schedules, and scopes of work.
- Preparing client and subcontractor change orders.
- Assume financial responsibility for projects including accurate, timely, and relevant reporting to stakeholders
- Monitor, control, and report on the financial performance of projects.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive construction plan and monitors progress towards goals to anticipate potential problems
- Coordination of work with trades, subcontractors and vendors.
- Coach and mentor project team members.
- Develop project staffing plans to include labor, subcontractors.
What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent professional experience required.
- Five to eight (5-8) years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction is required.
- Experience working for a General Contractor or Major Mechanical Subcontractor preferred.
- Proficient with scheduling software: Microsoft Project, Primavera and/or Suretrak preferred.
- Completed OSHA 30 class is preferred
- Basic estimating skills preferred.
- Demonstrates an understanding of accounting and financial management required.

The pay range for this position is $105,030 - $185,500 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
