The Opportunity with McKinstry

McKinstry is looking for a Business Development Director to join our Service team in Seattle. The Business Development Director will lead the Service Business Development function to grow McKinstry’s operate and sustain services nationally.

Leadership

  • Lead the corporate business development efforts for Service operate and sustain offerings.

  • Increase revenue, margin, and operating income through annual and multi-year strategies and as defined by yearly goals.

  • Oversee bookings that drive revenue, margin, and operating income.

  • Build and maintain relationships with industry leaders and key and strategic clients.

  • Participate in professional associations and organizations.

  • Participate in community activities.

  • Deliver of key business metrics.

  • Create national sales and marketing plans.

  • Identify and manage potential business risks.

  •  Recruit and hire staff.

  • Set performance goals and conduct performance evaluations for assigned team.

  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and motivation to assigned staff as required.

Market and Business Development

  • Oversee the sales operations including lead generation, promotion of services, strategic selling, consultative selling and sales management.

  • Oversee proposal and collateral material development.

  • Create vertical market tactics; includes cooperative selling efforts with all Service sales personnel and sales leaders throughout McKinstry.

  • Support the sales team in development of territory plans.

  • Plan and oversee all Service related marketing activities and promotional campaigns.

  • Develop of business development tools, processes, and teammates.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • Demonstrated proficiency for all the responsibilities of a Business Development Director required.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Construction.

  • Management or equivalent field required or combination of education and experience equivalent required.

  • Ten (10) years of experience delivering sales and business development services required.

  • Experience in consultative sales and sales management required.

  • Experience managing sales/business development staff required.

The pay range for this position is $105,030 - $185,500 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
