We are currently seeking a Accounts Receivable Manager to join the team as a member of our growing Accounting division.

Established in 1960, McKinstry is a full-service design, build, operate and maintain (DBOM) firm with over 1,600 employees. McKinstry’s professional staff and trades people deliver consulting, construction, energy, and facility services. As an early adopter of the DBOM process, the company advocates collaborative and sustainable solutions that are designed to ensure occupant comfort, improve systems efficiency, reduce facility operational costs, and ultimately optimize client profitability for the life of their building. While we are well known for our expertise in design build delivery, our full service offerings of mechanical, electrical, data and plumbing have been the hallmark of our success.

 

This person will be responsible for:

Lead Accounts Receivable Team

Develop and ensure all billing and collection processes, systems and policies, internal controls, and auditing processes are followed.

Implements quality and customer-service standards that include resolving problems and identifying system improvements.​

Develop and reports to management team performance metrics.

Works closely with project managers and business unit leaders to improve billing and collection systems and reporting.

Manage People

Trains, mentors and manages staff in effective tactics to attain team goals.

Create performance plans, assess performance and provide performance feedback.

Manage Accounts Receivable Processes – Billings and Collections

Provide analysis of receivable aging information and implements correction improvements as needed.

Develop, administer and enforce credit and collection policies and procedures.

Work with stakeholders to ensure companywide service levels are met.

Carry out other duties as assigned.

 

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES

Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis to customer service.

Must be able to work will all levels of internal personnel and personalities and external customers.

Prior experience with Viewpoint Construction Software a plus

Must have proficiency for all the responsibilities of Accounts Receivable Team.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in business or an accounting emphasis preferred or combination of education and experience equivalent required.

Five (5) years of experience in accounts receivable required.

Two (2) years of experience managing accounts receivable teams.

Three (3) years of collection experience required.

Understanding of various state sales & use tax laws pertaining to construction required.

Construction industry experience preferred.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment  

Ability and willingness to travel regionally.
