Seafood Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Seafood Manager to oversee our seafood department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring product quality, and maintaining inventory levels while fostering a positive work environment for team members.

Duties

• Supervise and train staff in seafood department operations, including customer service, merchandising, and food safety protocols.
• Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and ensuring proper storage of seafood products.
• Conduct employee orientation and training sessions to enhance team performance and knowledge of products.
• Utilize negotiation skills to establish relationships with suppliers for purchasing high-quality seafood at competitive prices.
• Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with company policies.
• Implement effective marketing strategies to promote seafood sales and enhance customer engagement.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the seafood department in accordance with health regulations.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to product quality or service.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and support overall store management objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role within the grocery or seafood industry.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to cater to a diverse customer base.
• Proficient in inventory management, retail math, and bookkeeping practices.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience in team management, training & development, and shift management.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential.
• Excellent organizational skills coupled with effective time management capabilities.
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and pricing strategies to maximize sales potential.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
