Position Summary
McKinnon's Market & Super Butcher Shop is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Driver / Inter-Store Delivery Associate to transport products, supplies, and equipment between our store locations. This role is essential to ensuring our stores remain fully stocked and operational while maintaining the high standards of service and quality our customers expect.
The ideal candidate is organized, punctual, and comfortable loading, unloading, and transporting a variety of grocery, meat, produce, and general merchandise items.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles between McKinnon's Market locations.
- Pick up, transport, and deliver products, supplies, and equipment as scheduled.
- Load and unload merchandise while following proper food safety and handling procedures.
- Verify orders, quantities, and delivery paperwork for accuracy.
- Assist store teams with receiving and transferring inventory.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic regulations.
- Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with store employees and vendors.
- Assist with warehouse, inventory, or store support tasks when deliveries are completed.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record review.
- Previous delivery, transportation, warehouse, or grocery experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules efficiently.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of merchandise.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb in and out of delivery vehicles throughout the day.
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and refrigerated environments when necessary.
Salary : $18 - $24
