Corrugator Supervisor

McKinley Paper and Packaging, an international Corrugated Container manufacturer is currently seeking an Experienced Corrugator Supervisorfor second shift for our facility in Lancaster TX.

Primary responsibilities are leadership on the production floor and excellence in demonstrating a commitment to McKinley Packaging safety and quality initiatives. The shift supervisor is responsible for coaching, training, and developing their team in safety, quality, production, problem solving, and the technical skills involved in the operation of the corrugator. The supervisor interacts with other department supervisors, the Production Management team, and Customer Service to ensure quality, on-time production goals are met.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership in safety process and coordinating department safety education.
• Achieve quality initiatives by leading processes to ensure lowest cost and best quality.
• Minimizing waste within the department by driving awareness, training, and accountability.
• Drive maximum throughput within the department by increasing up-times and machine speeds.
• Identifies machine issues and works with maintenance to correct.
• Accuracy in the reporting of production documentation and data entry.
• Coach and develop employees to maximize effectiveness.

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years progressively responsible experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity and the ability to self-direct and motivate.
• Knowledge of Corrugator and corrugating processes, including paper, starch, and heat relevant to producing corrugated sheets.
• Communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate with hourly personnel as well as managers.
• Ability and flexibility to think, react, and adapt quickly to changing customer requirements and manufacturing challenges.
• Corrugator knowledge, Kiwi software and Fosber equipment knowledge is a plus.

Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience: Corrugated MFG: 3 years (Preferred)

Supervisor: 2 years (Preferred)
