OVERVIEW: A Survey Project Coordinator I provides project administration, scheduling, financial processing and technical administration assistance to Project Surveyors and Project Managers.

During Your Work Day, You Will
- This person is responsible for the production of maps and drawings.
- The major objectives are the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity) of work, meeting schedules, within budgets, and responsive service to client.
- This person shall also be responsible for training and mentoring of field staff.
- This person will coordinate the production of maps and drawings to cover all details so that the quality is present and budgets and schedules are met.
- This person will be responsible for downloading/uploading field data, technical production of maps and drawings using various software platforms, communicating with project team.
- Understand and apply applicable construction staking methods, construction documents, and as-built deliverables. A knowledge of historical survey practices and applicable Texas survey statutes shall be applied to final survey deliverables.
- Two-year Associates degree in Land Surveying/Civil Engineering Technology and/or 3 years of surveying field experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in AutoCAD/Microstation Civil 3D, processing survey computation, Trimble, Data processing, GPS, boundary, construction staking, surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title surveys, topographic surveys, utility route surveys and construction staking
- Basic experience with field survey procedures and equipment as related to current industry standards.
- Basic understanding of technical specifications related to project deliverables.
- Experience with BlueBeam Revu or comparable geomatics software. (ArcGIS, Google Earth, Survey123, etc.) (open drawings, compute closures, edit drawing information, create minor drawings, plot points, and import and export data).
- Basic knowledge of GIS systems, data reliability and support of company resources related to GIS technology.
- Prior experience working in a project-oriented service business.
- Must have Microsoft Office experience; strong EXCEL skills, ArcGIS/Survey123 experience a plus.
- Must be responsible, organized, detail-oriented, inquisitive, and assertive with a take-charge attitude and concern for follow-through to completeness.
- Ability to work as part of a large team consisting of professional and technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and initiate action without waiting for detailed instruction.
- Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Land Surveying Intern, Surveyor in Training, Certified Surveying Technician, or other similar certifications are preferred.
- Familiarity with construction staking, boundary, ALTA, and topo surveys.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, maps, and legal descriptions.
- Should have enough Persuasive skills, empathy, and sociability to work closely with people in potentially difficult situations and develop effective, trustworthy working relationships with Project Managers and Field Crew staff.
