We have an exciting opportunity to join our Planning, Development and Natural Resources (PDNR) team as an Engineering Designer, Land Development at our new Raleigh Headquarters office. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE:
- Provides technical and design services in support of civil engineering projects as part of a project team
- Prepares design computations and assessments.
- Produces design/construction drawings, technical specifications, and bid documents.
- Reports directly to their Project Manager.
- Responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule.
- Communicate and coordinate with Project Manager and design team on design issues and calculations relating to a project.
- Stays current with Local, State & Federal Design Standards and Regulations.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Proficient in CAD Civil 3D and capable of learning other design software programs as required.
- Process-oriented individual with strong organization and technical skills.
- Solid communicator, able to take and understand directives from PM and coordinate efforts with design team.
- Strong writing and verbal skills; Able to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying demands put on them by PMs.
- May or may not require a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.
WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT:
- Passed your FE Exam and obtained your E.I./E.I.T.
- Experience with design of land development projects preferred.
- NC residency preferred.
