As a member of our team, the Probate/Estate Planning Paralegal plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of our probate and estate planning matters. Your primary responsibilities would include:
- Acting as a helpful and confident first point of contact for prospective and current clients, judges’ offices and judicial assistants, and other law firms
- Accurately managing the appointment and courtroom calendar for our probate and estate planning attorney
- Drafting letters and initial drafts of legal documents for probates and estate plans using firm templates
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail, pleadings, and other documents into our case management system for our probate and estate planning matters
- Conduct certain client meetings and communications as part of our probate and estate planning process
- Maintaining, updating, and improving office forms, policies, and processes

REQUIREMENTS:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and characteristics:
- At least 2 years of experience with probates in Florida, including document drafting, e-filing via the online portal, submitting orders to the court, and scheduling hearings
- A proactive, energetic, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- A high level of attention to detail
- Prior experience in file and case management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong tech-savviness and the ability to adapt to new technologies
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Applicants must be open to a dog-friendly office
