Position Summary

The IT Executive Technical Support Engineer is an individual contributor responsible for providing high‑quality, proactive technology support to McKesson executive leadership. This role applies professional-level technical expertise to ensure reliable operation of executive end-user systems, collaboration tools, and meeting technologies. The position operates independently with general direction and partners closely with internal IT teams to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining a high standard of service and discretion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver dedicated technical support for executive users, including hardware, operating systems, mobile devices, collaboration tools, and standard business applications
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for executive IT incidents, managing issues through resolution and escalating to specialized teams as appropriate
  • Proactively monitor and maintain executive technology environments to prevent disruptions and minimize downtime
  • Support executive meetings and presentations, ensuring systems, connectivity, and audio/visual tools function as required
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows and macOS), Microsoft 365, and other approved enterprise applications
  • Support executive communication platforms including email, video conferencing, messaging, and mobility solutions
  • Maintain accurate documentation of executive IT assets, configurations, incidents, and resolutions
  • Provide hands‑on coaching and guidance to executive users on new tools, features, and technology best practices
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional IT teams (e.g., Endpoint, Network, Security, Application Support) to resolve moderately complex issues
  • Follow established IT security, compliance, and data protection policies to safeguard executive systems and information


Minimum Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience 4–6 years of professional experience in an IT support or endpoint services role


Critical Skills

  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior or executive-level users in a corporate environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, and endpoint hardware
  • Experience supporting collaboration and video conferencing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and confidentially with senior leaders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and perform under time-sensitive situations


Additional Skills / Preferred

  • Experience working within large, matrixed or regulated enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with IT service management practices and ticketing systems
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or ITIL Foundation
  • Ability to provide limited after-hours or on-call support when required to meet executive needs

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $40.32 - $67.20
