Sterile Processing Tech Lead - Instrument Coordinator

Position Details:
- Hourly Base Rate: $23.96 - $30.07
- Hours Per Week: 40 hours - M-F - Day Shift
- SEIU Local 49 represented position.
Job Summary:
- The Sterile Processing Technician Lead - Instrument Coordinator prepares and distributes supplies and equipment ready for use in all patient care areas, as well as for the Operating Rooms.
- Based on pre-determined inventory (PAR) levels, and surgical cases, these technicians count and replenish processed supplies for each location.
- Reusable instruments and items are collected, decontaminated, repackaged, sterilized and returned to storage or the next point of use.
- The Sterile Processing Technician Lead - Instrument Coordinator will also assist in training newly hired technicians.
- Receive, document, and distribute loaner instrumentation.
- Coordinate surgeon and patient specific cases on a daily basis.
- Communicate with vendor reps and coordinate drop off/pick up of instrumentation per policies.
Qualifications:
- Certified Registered Central Services Technician (CRCST) through HSPA or other recognized or accredited program required.
- 10 years Sterile Processing experience required.
- CIS strongly preferred.
