We are seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to provide care to individuals with disabilities, assisting them with their daily needs while promoting their independence.
Responsibilities:
· Assisting with activities of daily living such as cooking, eating, bathing, grooming, personal hygiene, dressing, exercising and entertainment.
· Facilitating activities and promoting engagement
· Ensuring a safe and supportive environment
· Assistance with dispensing of medications
· Performance of household tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, house cleaning, and home maintenance activities
· Ensure that residents are given ample opportunity to attend church, church groups, and community activities to provide social, spiritual, and educational opportunities for the residents.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Experience in providing care to individuals with disabilities or the elderly preferred
· Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Direct Care Professional Certification is preferred
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Must have a valid driver's license
· Model Christian based values and morals in your actions and words, to represent McKenzie’s Mission residents and the organization to the community.
· Possess the ability to guide residents in an adult Christian lifestyle
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to sit for a couple hours at a time; and stand/walk for a minimum of 50% of the workday.
· Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. continuously, up to 20 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. Occasionally.
· Must be able to document good health, including a negative TB test and be free of communicable disease.
