Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage seating arrangements efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Answer incoming phone calls with courteous and clear communication, handling inquiries and food orders.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and guest flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
- Support the restaurant team during busy periods by managing waitlists and providing accurate wait times
Experience
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and courteously with diverse guests.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage waitlists, and guest flow seamlessly.
- Ability to handle phone etiquette professionally while multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
