We are currently hiring an experienced 26-foot box truck driver for our Whirlpool appliance delivery account in Garden City, Kansas.
This is primarily a driving and appliance delivery position. Approximately 95% of our deliveries are drop-offs to customer facilities. Drivers are responsible for loading the truck at the beginning of the day and unloading appliances at each customer location.
We occasionally perform appliance installations, averaging approximately 5 installations per month.
Job Responsibilities
● Safely operate a 26-foot non-CDL box truck with lift gate
● Load and secure appliances before leaving the facility
● Deliver and unload appliances at customer facilities
● Properly operate a lift gate, pallet jack, dolly, and other delivery equipment
● Complete occasional basic appliance installations
● Maintain professional communication with customers
● Complete the entire assigned route each day
Driving Expectations
This position requires someone who is comfortable spending extended periods of time driving.
Routes average approximately 100–400 miles round trip per day, depending on the delivery schedule.
Our workweek is Monday through Thursday, beginning at approximately 6:00 AM and ending when all scheduled deliveries have been completed. Some days will be shorter or longer depending on route distance, number of stops, traffic, and delivery conditions.
Requirements
● Experience operating a 26-foot box truck strongly preferred
● Must be comfortable operating a truck with a lift gate
● Must be comfortable driving 100–400 miles per day
● Must be physically capable of handling and moving appliances
● Must be dependable and able to report to work on time
● Must be available Monday through Thursday
● Must be comfortable working until the route is completed
● Appliance delivery experience is preferred
● Basic appliance installation experience is a plus
Compensation
$200 per dayPaid weeklyUp to $800 per week for a full 4-day workweek
