Job Responsibilities
- Utilize proprietary web-based software to check tools in and out of construction jobs using a handheld scanner and/or PC
- Monitor tool and consumable levels to ensure availability for job needs
- Clean and inspect returned tools and sort them into designated storage locations
- Identify and replace damaged barcodes
- Barcode new tools and input relevant details for system entry
- Assist with quarterly inventory of tool room assets
- Load and unload tools onto trucks and trailers as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with 5S principles
- Submit weekly time tickets for approval
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer and mobile device skills
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate a forklift (training provided)
- Reliable, organized, and willing to learn
- Previous experience in construction, logistics, or tool management
- General familiarity with common construction tools, their names, and functions
- Exposure to construction or warehouse environments
- Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises
- Work environment involves moderate exposure to tool room or construction hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
- Strong physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds and extensive climbing, walking, and standing
