McKenna Russo is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join our growing litigation practice. We represent individuals, families, businesses, and fiduciaries in a broad range of civil disputes throughout Maryland. Our litigation team is known for providing strategic, practical, and client-focused representation while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys courtroom advocacy, strategic problem-solving, and working directly with clients from the initial consultation through trial or resolution. Our litigation team works in a highly collaborative environment where attorneys regularly share ideas, develop case strategy together, and support one another to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage civil litigation matters from intake through resolution
· Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests and responses, and other legal filings
· Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy recommendations
· Attend court hearings, mediations, depositions, settlement conferences, and trials
· Manage all aspects of discovery, including document review and witness preparation
· Communicate regularly with clients regarding case strategy, status updates, and expectations
· Negotiate settlements and work toward efficient resolution of disputes when appropriate
· Collaborate with attorneys and staff on complex litigation matters
· Record billable time daily and assist with case management responsibilities
· Handle confidential client matters with professionalism and discretion
Required Qualifications
· Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
· Active membership in the Maryland Bar in good standing
· 3–7 years of civil litigation experience preferred
· Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
· Excellent oral advocacy and courtroom presentation abilities
· Experience managing cases independently while collaborating within a team environment
· Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
· Tech-savvy and confident using Microsoft Office and legal practice management technology
· Commitment to providing outstanding client service

Experience in one or more of the following is a plus:
· Business and commercial litigation
· Real estate litigation

· Fiduciary, trust, and estate litigation
