We are seeking a Material Costing and Quoting Specialist that focuses on quoting, costing, and analyzing our input materials to support overall product costing and quoting activities. This role partners with R&D, Account Management, Purchasing, Operations, and Finance teams as well as our external material suppliers to carry out efforts to optimize formula costing to best serve our customers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Responsible for overseeing company’s material costs, including setting and monitoring standard costs, researching variances, and looking for opportunities for improvements and efficiencies.
- Help to support the company’s material pricing, quoting, and costing and processes.
- Collaborate with R&D to track ingredient costs, batch sizes, yields, and processing requirements.
- Develop strong understanding of the company’s product input costs and play integral role in helping to improve and shape costs through vendor engagement and negotiation.
- Monitor and track material costs and purchase price variances for all production inputs.
- Establish structured processes to analyze and review pricing and profitability at regular intervals as well as on ad hoc basis as needed.
- Support company with Ad-hoc financial and operational analyses to ensure timely course correction of Company’s resources.
- Maintain standard pricing databases and update as raw materials, packaging, or labor costs change.
- Assist in new product development by providing cost projections and identifying potential savings or margin opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements related to pricing tracking and reporting.
- Provide support for multiple projects and prioritize workload in accordance with business goals.
- Maintain a positive and productive relationship with external and internal customers, co-workers, and others with whom the position may have contact.
Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred, but not required.
- 3–5 years of experience in quoting, cost analysis or financial planning within personal care, cosmetics, food or specialty manufacturing.
- Experience in data analysis, modeling, and/or financial analysis.
- Understanding of KPIs, margin analysis, standard costing, and cost accounting principles is a plus.
- Must have strong mathematical skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percentage, convert English/Metric units, and apply concepts to practical situations.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables), and financial modeling tools.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to organize, handle, and prioritize multiple issues simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate across the organization.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this role is $62,400 - $79,040 annually. Compensation is commensurate with level of knowledge, education, skills, and experience applicable to the position.
