Job Title: Pastor
Job Type: Full-Time (Part-Time may be considered)
Location: McConnelsville, Ohio
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience and agreed upon guidelines
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, faith-filled Pastor to provide spiritual leadership and shepherd
our congregation. The ideal candidate will preach biblically grounded sermons, administer the
sacraments, provide pastoral care, and help foster a welcoming, Christ-centered community
dedicated to worship, discipleship, and service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver engaging, Scripture-based sermons.
- Lead weekly worship services and special services throughout the church year.
- Administer baptisms, Holy Communion, weddings, funerals, and other pastoral rites.
- Provide pastoral care
- Support the spiritual growth of members through Bible studies and discipleship
programs.
- Collaborate with church staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers.
- Encourage outreach, missions, and community engagement.
- Mentor youth and adults in their faith journey.
- Provide leadership in church administration and strategic planning.
- Uphold the teachings, doctrine, and discipline of the McKendree Church.
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong preaching, teaching, and pastoral care skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to lead and work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and Admin. Teams.
Preferred:
- Previous pastoral leadership experience.
- Experience in community outreach and church growth.
- Familiarity with church administration, budgeting, and volunteer management.
