Position Summary:
The RV Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the parts department, including inventory control, purchasing, staff supervision, and customer service. This role plays a key part in supporting the service department and ensuring a seamless experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the parts department
- Maintain optimal inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and returns
- Monitor and improve gross profit margins and departmental performance
- Work closely with the service department to ensure timely parts availability
- Train, coach, and supervise parts staff
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships
- Ensure accurate pricing, merchandising, and display of parts and accessories
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special orders professionally
- Conduct regular inventory audits and manage obsolescence
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in parts management (RV or automotive preferred)
- Strong understanding of inventory management and purchasing processes
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) is a plus
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
