Surface Mount Technology Operator (Hourly, Non Exempt Binghamton NY)

Working as an SMT Operator at McIntosh Labs is EPICC! Together we exist to amplify life’s memorable moments – together as one team! You will be part of the dynamic team that contributes and builds the fueling of the Great American Powerhouse! You will be part of the team that helps populate and build the circuit boards that help create the awesome power behind the worlds #1 consumer electronics equipment!
What You’ll Do:
- Operate Surface Mount PCB assembly line, including a DEK printer, Universal Instruments HSC and MF machines, and Vitronics reflow oven.
- Production quantities range from prototype runs to 100s. Multiple line change overs per day.
- Load feeders, verify parts, verify programs.
- Troubleshoot placement and machine issues.
- Perform basic periodic maintenance.
· Support issue reporting and other quality processes
· Bench testing – up to 50 units per day.
- Ability to utilize a magnifier to conduct visual inspection process

- Be prompt and on-time for scheduled shift.
What You’ll Need:
· Operating experience with DK and Universal Instruments highly desirable, but not required.
· Prior experience with SMT machine operation required.
· Computer skills
· High Attention to Detail
· Use of analytic skills to aid in the inspection of parts and PCBs
- High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
- Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible..
