McIntosh Box and Pallet is hiring for 1st Yard Jockey to join our team in Bernhards Bay, NY
We are looking for a technically skilled individual with excellent attention to detail to join out team as a 1st Shift Yard Jockey in Bernhards Bay, NY
Shift: 6am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday
Pay: $18 to $20 depending on experience
A Yard Jockey will be responsible for helping to keep the yard organized by moving equipment and processing material for shipment and storage. They will also help with snow removal, trailer sanitation, daily inspections and preventative maintenance. This individual will also assist the maintenance team as time allows.
Yard Jockey's Job Responsibilities:
- Move trailers throughout the yard
- Work with the Maintenance team to assist with snow removal, preventative maintenance, operating the loader and reporting damages.
- Maintain off site diesel and Inventory trailer logs
- Adhere to safety management standards
- Comply with company policies and safety guidelines
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facility
- Operate and manage technical equipment
