We are a fast growing Financial and Insurance firm looking for a Paraplanner to help grow our team. The primary role of the Paraplanner is to ensure the smooth operation of a fast-paced and friendly financial planning office. Some of the main duties include assisting our Financial Planners in getting ready for client meetings by preparing meeting materials, assembling financial reports, situation modeling in financial planning software, ensuring actions are completed in our CRM system, and conducting client specific research. We are a firm that embraces learning, change, process and technology, so we’ll count on your contributions to various projects that are part of a growing firm. We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about helping clients, good communicators, takes direction well, reliable, organized, and can follow through on activities in a timely manner. This position requires the ability to work well in both a self-directed manner and in a collaborative team environment.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize CRM and other tracking tools to ensure we have met our commitments to our clients.
- Organize and prepare advisors and staff for items needed in client meetings.
- Keep a general pulse on the office for clients and prospect meetings to ensure the team is properly prepared.
- Deliver high quality client service in a professional, caring, and compliant manner.
- Communicate effectively in person, in writing, and verbally with clients, prospects, and others in the organization.
- Review and update client information as needed for client review meetings. Attend and participate in client meetings if necessary.
- Review and respond to emails as necessary and be a positive team member across the practice.
- Ensures paperwork and appointment prep is ready for advisor meetings, as well as prepares follow up items after the appointment and ensures action items are closed in a timely fashion
- Completes new account forms and other pending business items that generate revenue and works with clients to follow up on outstanding paperwork and needed documents
- Answers the phones to assist clients with needs
- Helps clients utilize our online tools and virtual meeting capabilities
Candidates must demonstrate the following:

- Superb verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Proficiency with CRM and GoToMeeting preferred, but not required
- Willingness to learn new computer programs and systems
- Desire to work in a fast paced, team centered environment
- Firm commitment to customer service and client satisfaction
- Financial industry experience preferred but not required
- Responsible, trust worthy, with the ability to problem solve independently.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelors degree with experience in Financial Services preferred
- Life Insurance licenses preferred
- FPQP® preferred
- Extreme proficiency is Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint
