Job Description
Position: Fertilizer Technician/Lawn Care Specialist
You'll be providing lawn care services for residential and commercial properties while maintaining good customer service skills, and a professional image. This is a YEAR ROUND position, so during the off season, you will be performing other duties such as landscaping, snow removal, etc. We're looking for someone with experience in handling chemicals & equipment that is willing to work independently and is open to one day running and managing a crew of other technicians.
Duties
- Good work ethic and punctuality that allows you to stay productive while working independently.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of applicator machinery to optimize performance.
- Provide high quality care to each and every customer's lawn.
- Drive a company vehicle to various job sites, and keeping it clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools/supplies while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct inspections to determine appropriate fertilizer application and methods, along with diagnosing/correcting any potential issues with the lawn.
- Keep in communication with customers & answer their questions so that we can provide the most transparent and efficient services. Our customers love to see and speak with the techs that are working to provide them with a beautiful lawn!
- Maintain accurate records of applications, materials used, and operational details for reporting purposes.
- Other duties include aerating, seeding, landscape bed care/weed removal.
- During the off season - we do not do seasonal layoffs, so you will be performing other jobs in regards to landscaping, snow removal, clean up, maintenance, etc.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- RT Certification preferably with 3A 3B
- Prior experience in completing lawn fertilizations, weed control, insect/pest treatments, or disease control will be highly valued!
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently in outdoor conditions.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work 40 hours a week - overtime opportunities are almost always available!
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Knowledge of land management practices and environmental safety regulations is a plus. We will always offer education advancements and help you keep your certifications/licenses up to date.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
