Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods over various distances while operating a commercial vehicle.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and drive various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and tandems.
- Transport gravel, asphalt and other materials on the western slope (Rifle to Aspen) of Colorado following safety regulations and traffic laws
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck when necessary
- Maintain accurate driving logs and complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- 2 years minimum proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with dump truck or belly dump and or end dump trailers
- Ability to shovel material out of bed safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of basic automotive repair and maintenance procedures
- Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach
- Live in the area of Parachute to Glenwood Springs
