Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Office Administrator plays a key role in supporting daily office operations and ensuring the smooth coordination of credentialing, billing, administrative services, and community outreach efforts. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities
Credentialing and Contracting
Coordinate credentialing for locations, staff, and franchisees with insurance providers
Maintain accurate records in credentialing software
Provide regular status updates to the Clinical Director
Billing and Claims Support
Assist with claim submission, reimbursement tracking, and billing issue resolution
Support payroll accuracy and monitor employee time-off tracking
Quality Assurance
Conduct audits to ensure billing and credentialing processes meet company and payer standards
Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with issue resolution
Administrative Support
Answer incoming calls and assist with scheduling appointments
Maintain and organize client files
Support insurance verification and other front-office administrative tasks
Community Outreach and Marketing Support
Assist in planning and coordinating community activities
Help build relationships with referral sources and community partners
Franchisee Support
Provide assistance to franchisees with credentialing and accreditation processes
Travel may be required as needed
Customer Service
Deliver exceptional service to clients, staff, and partners
Foster a welcoming, professional, and supportive office environment
Qualifications
Preferred Education
Bachelor’s degree in a human services field such as Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, or a related area preferred
Experience
Prior experience in credentialing, billing, healthcare administration, or a related field strongly preferred
Skills And Abilities
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Proficiency with technology; experience with EHR and billing software preferred
Ability to balance administrative responsibilities with occasional team and client support needs
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
