We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
- Perform chairside assisting duties, including suctioning, instrument passing, and patient positioning.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Manage patient records ensuring accurate medical documentation.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Maintain infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care to younger patients.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing medical records.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and various specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control standards.
- Ability to perform documentation accurately.
- Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to dental health.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
