Minimum Qualifications/Required Skills
- Current and Valid Paraprofessional License; 60 college credit hour or Work Keys Test/other ISBE requirement for obtaining Paraprofessional License.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to promote a safe environment including physical intervention as needed according to protocol.
- Candidates with CPI training preferred or willing to train.
- Ability to work as a cooperating member of a team and effectively communicate with students, teachers, parents and administration; Positive attitude and dependability a must.
- Willingness or experience working with young children with special needs.
- $17.50/hour starting plus benefits. The District can provide additional credit to candidates who have prior work experience.
