Responsible to the Assistant Principal of Student Services

Calendar: School Year Employee - 180 days 6 float days as assigned (prorated based upon the start date)

Daily Schedule: 7:15 am - 3:00 pm

Hours Per Day: 7.25 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Hourly Rate: $26.53

Benefits: Eligible for medical benefits and paid leave. IMRF participation is required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse credentials
- Strong computer skills
- Candidate must be detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently under minimum supervision
- Must respect the confidentiality of sensitive information
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Must perform all responsibilities in a professional manner consistent with district policy and practices.
- Maintain student health records
- Facilitate student health assessment/screenings
- Complete medical reviews/ health histories
- Accurately store and dispense medication
- Consult with teachers, parents, and team members
- Write and maintain health plans and medical 504's
- Notify parents and building administrators regarding students who are severely ill or injured
- Lead professional development training to all staff as assigned (ie. Diabetes Training)
- Submit accurate and timely reports as required by various health agencies and the state.
- Assume authority to provide emergency care for ill and injured students on school premises until emergency personnel arrive, under the supervision of the building administration
- Other relevant duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Must possess the physical strength to occasionally assist in lifting student
- Must be able to bend and perform CPR as needed.
