Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities
- Cook and serve deep fried, grilled foods and deli orders made to order
- Have all breakfast items ready before opening/service time, seasonally setup cafeteria for service
- Have all lunch items ready by 10:30 a.m.
- Prepare and serve all grill and deli items according to departmental procedures and regulatory agency requirements for food safety
- Restock grill and deli stations, including transporting stock from storage rooms/freezer to grill station. Maintain stock in storage areas in organized manner using proper stock rotation
- Continuous proper cleaning, maintaining, and sanitizing of grill and deli stations
- Change deep fryer oil as needed or assigned (weekly)
- Assist with special catering functions
- Assist with advance catering prep
- Perform all weekly cleaning and sanitizing to maintain sanitation in grill area
- Prepare and order to maintain proper quantities for grill station
- Perform required HACCP tracking reports daily, such as food preparation and storage temperature logs and notify/recommend Director of actions necessary
- Monitor and maintain safe food temperature at all times
- Conduct yearly inventory and assist in preparation and completion of required documents timely
- Complete all cleaning assignments according to departmental procedures and regulatory agency requirements
- Prepare advance preparation needs for future service requirements
- Serve as a backup to the Lead/Cook, Production in their absence
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and seminars as requested
- Specific job responsibilities for this position are included in the Task Description found in the work area
- Work collaboratively with others (e.g. colleagues, stakeholders, vendors) to accomplish functions and responsibilities
- Assume additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager (IFFSM) Certification (or obtain within first 12 months of employment)
- One year similar food service experience
