McGuff Pharmaceuticals is seeking a full-time Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) to join our FDA-registered sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing organization and 503B Outsourcing Facility operation in the Santa Ana / Costa Mesa area.

Position Overview
The pharmacist will serve as part of the operational oversight team for sterile compounding and manufacturing activities performed within our 503B Outsourcing Facility. Pharmacists in this role are trained in current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), aseptic processing operations, and sterile manufacturing procedures.
Responsibilities include direct oversight and observation of manufacturing activities to ensure:
• adherence to approved batch records,
• compliance with manufacturing procedures,
• support accurate and complete Good Documentation Practices,
• proper execution of critical process steps,
• and immediate escalation of any non-conformances or procedural deviations.
Pharmacists are expected to actively oversee operations within manufacturing areas and possess authority to halt manufacturing activities when necessary to protect product quality or patient safety.
This role requires gowning and routine access to controlled sterile manufacturing environments.
In addition to manufacturing oversight responsibilities, pharmacists participate in a variety of professional activities including:
• physician and nurse product support,
• customer and clinical communications,
• attendance at medical and industry conferences to support sales,
• support of product complaint investigations,
• participation in adverse event review activities,
• collaboration with Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory personnel
• and support of operational and cross-functional ad hoc projects as organizational needs arise.
This position is structured as a rotational role within the pharmacist team to develop operational depth and broad organizational exposure across manufacturing and clinical support functions.
Qualifications
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
• California Pharmacist license required
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure in additional states
• Strong attention to detail and documentation practices
• Professional communication skills
• Interest in sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing and regulated operations
• Ability to work effectively within structured cGMP systems and controlled manufacturing environments
• Ability to manage changing priorities and participate in cross-functional projects
Experience in any of the following is helpful, but not required:
• pharmaceutical manufacturing,
• cGMP operations,
• aseptic processing,
• quality systems,
• FDA-regulated operations,
• or regulatory environments.
Training will be provided.
Schedule
• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• Day shift (generally 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Flexible based on production needs
Work Environment
This position operates within a professional pharmaceutical manufacturing environment and includes both office-based responsibilities and participation within controlled sterile manufacturing areas requiring gowning and adherence to cleanroom procedures.
